
Children and Youth
The Fred Rogers Company located in Pittsburgh, PA creates innovative multi-media programs that engage new generations of children with Mr. Rogers’ timeless wisdom. BoldMoves developed a powerful case statement, identified potential sponsors, provided training and ongoing coaching to the development director and crafted a long-term fundraising strategy. In the end, BoldMoves helped prepare a winning $2 million proposal to the National Science Foundation that enabled TFRC to further develop and evaluate its award-winning PBS children’s TV program – Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.

Environment
Protect the Flows in Denver asked BoldMoves to obtain at least three endorsements from major U.S. corporations to support its mission to serve as the voice of business in protecting the Colorado River. BoldMoves obtained four endorsements from major corporations. In addition, it conceived and helped plan the organization’s now annual “Business of Water” SUMMIT which brings together corporate leaders from dozens of national and global corporations to address water conservation issues in the West and around the globe.

Health and Human Services
The Center for Health and Learning in Brattleboro, VT is dedicated to creating a foundation for healthy communities through educational resources, leadership training and policy development. For more than two years, BoldMoves has worked with CHL to develop a compelling case statement, identify promising prospects, develop an overall fundraising strategy and brainstorm and craft several grant proposals. BoldMoves has also provided executive coaching to the director and fundraising training for the board, with the goal of improving the organization’s development capacity.

Education
Learning Forward helps thousands of educators across the US and around the globe leverage the power of professional learning to promote student success. For several years, BoldMoves has assisted Learning Forward with its development agenda, identifying potential sponsors and drafting winning proposals. BoldMoves has also documented the overall efficacy of this well-respected nonprofit and is currently evaluating the Learning Forward Academy which provides intensive professional development to administrators, professional development specialists and educators from across the U.S.

Arts and Culture
Next Stage Arts Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping art happen through the development and operation of the Next Stage theater in Putney, Vermont. BoldMoves helped design this Vermont-based organization’s capital campaign which is seeking $1.4 million dollars to transform an 18th century church in Putney’s village center into a state-of-the-art performance and community center. BoldMoves strategized with stakeholders and created the case for funding, researched and created a major donor prospect list which includes both individuals and foundations, and provided training to the board and campaign committee members in making solicitations and promoting the project. Solicitors, once fearful, are now enthusiastically reaching out to the community to request substantial support.

Media and Entertainment
Steeltown’s mission is to create a film, TV and digital entertainment industry in Southwest Pennsylvania that stimulates the region’s economic and workforce development. Under two long-term contracts, BoldMoves has created a far-sighted vision for the organization, developed a persuasive case statement, provided fundraising training for both staff and board members and prepared a long-term development and operational growth plan. Building on that vision, BoldMoves worked with Steeltown to obtain 6-figure plus grants from the R.K. Mellon, Hillman, Pittsburgh and Heinz foundations as well as smaller grants from the Grable Foundation and others.
